Contact
We read everything that arrives, and we answer most of it. Use the address that matches what you need, because it gets to the right place faster than a general enquiry does.
Corrections
If an article is factually wrong, out of date, or missing a caveat that matters, tell us. Include the article and what specifically is wrong. Corrections are made in the article itself and noted, rather than quietly edited.
Questions about equipment or technique
We cannot provide individual support for every instrument, but questions that come up repeatedly become articles, and telling us what you are stuck on genuinely shapes what gets written next.
The dark-sky API and partner embeds
Our dark-sky engine is available to partners as a JSON API and as a one-line embeddable widget showing tonight's conditions for a given location. If you run a park, an observatory, a club site or an outdoor business and want live observing conditions on your own pages, get in touch and we will set you up with a key.
Press and syndication
Our articles may be quoted with attribution and a link. Wholesale republication needs permission, mostly so we can make sure the version out there is the corrected one.
Community
Star parties, clubs, galleries and saved observing sites live in the SmartScope Club app, which is a separate application with its own account system. Community questions are best asked there, where other observers will see them.
